YVO4 is a positive uniaxial crystal grownwith Czochralski method. lt has good temperature stability, physicaand mechanical properties. lt is ideal for optical polarizingcomponents because of its wide transparency range and largebirefringence. lt is an excellent synthetic substitute for Calcite(CaCO3) and Rutile (TiO2) crystals in many applications including fiberoptic isolators and circulators, interleavers, beam displacers and otherpolarizing optics.
